For John's big birthday this year, I decided to throw a little get together on Saturday. It was really fun and I'm glad all of our family and friends could make it. A lot of people haven't had a chance to see our house yet, though they have heard about all the projects in detail whenever they ask what John and I have done over any weekend.

On Sunday we had a wonderful summer day. It really is nice to be able to d
o things outside. We slept in and then took a drive into Philadelphia to ride our bikes around Kelly Drive. It is near the Art Museum. We actually rode for 6 miles and though I sometimes want to kill John for pushing me to do it, I'm glad to be exercising. Afterward we checked out some open houses in the Fairmount Park and East Falls areas. We often think of moving into the city after we get married, so it's always nice to see what we could afford and the differences in space, etc. Then it was back to the house and dinner at our favorite neighborhood pizza joint, Tonelli's.
