I'm distraught today.
I got home yesterday afternoon and to my delight, our new I-Mac computer was waiting for me (yes, we took the Mac plunge). After hours of setting it up, even going so far as to clear off and clean the desk and surrounding area to ensure the Mac's pleasant move out of the box and into our home, I sat down with my cell to call the Apple Care Center. I was having severe worry over whether or not all my I-Tunes (722 to be exact) would make their way safely to the new computer. The gal on the other end Cindy, assured me that all I had to do was plug it in and the library would transfer over easily. So I did. And she was mistaken.
I must have gotten confused over this message that popped up. I thought it was telling me to transfer the songs by clicking yes. Little did I know that would mean it would ERASE EVERYTHING!!! I was left with one Fresh Air Podcast. That was it! I wanted to throw up. It's all gone. The only songs I had backed up were my oldies from past cds. Nothing that I had purchased new. Can't even remember all the names of songs I painstakingly hand selected for my unique enjoyment from the I-Tunes store. Approximately $200 worth of music gone. I am in a state of shock. How could this happen?
I frantically searched the web for ways to recover the music. Some blogger suggested I contact Apple about getting them recovered. I'll do whatever it takes. I just hope they take pity on me.
As of this morning I hate the new Mac. It betrayed me. I was so excited about all the cool things I could do with it's help but now I want to never see it again.

Oh, wow, I'm so sorry that happened! That's my worst nightmare, as I've spent way too much money on iTunes, as well. I hope the Apple Care folks are able to help you recover everything; do you still have all the songs on your iPod, at least?
