Down with Target!

I have to tell you all that I have spent years loving everything Target. I thought it was the greatest all around store. I have received and purchased so many awesome items. However, today I have to tell you that they have lost me as a customer and I HATE them.

Both John and I have had nothing short of a horrendous experience in dealing with them for our wedding registry. When we have gone into a store or called the online helpdesk for assistance in issues that have had NOTHING to do with us they have treated us with not only disrespect but ignorance. They often don't update the registry which has resulted in duplicated items (I once got three pots and pans sets at the same shower), told us the only receipt that came in a shipment wasn't a receipt, decided not to ship items that went through as purchased and flat out lied. They also keep saying there is nothing they can do to help us which I translate to, 'we don't really care and have just decided not to assist you'. I actually feel terrible that I asked people to shop there when they too have had difficulty or had to feel bad when they saw me open the same gift.

I have worked in sales for many years and know that in order to keep a person as a customer you should treat them with respect and do YOUR BEST to accommodate them. I've spent a year dealing with their nonsense and am now finished. My only solace is that I have put the gifts I received to very good use in my home.

Poo-poo on you Target Corporation!

OK, I'm glad I decided to go with a different gift and not something off your Target registry!
