The truth is, I'm not much of an animal person. I LOVE dogs, think horses are pretty neat, and could on occasion watch a monkey run around in clothes on TV or something. That's pretty much it. However, I was incredibly moved by this years Oscar winner for Best Feature Documentary, The Cove. It was terribly sad, but extremely enlightening and definitely worth the rental.
Here is the synopsis...
Using state-of-the-art equipment, a group of activists, led by renowned dolphin trainer Ric O'Barry, infiltrate a cove near Taijii, Japan to expose both a shocking instance of animal abuse and a serious threat to human health.
I'm telling you, a trip to Sea World will never cross your mind again.

I've been wondering about that since the Oscars... I read an article after the latest Sea World incident that really made me question what the hell we are doing with dolphins and whales in little tanks for our enjoyment.
