Baby Loot

When we travel to AZ later this summer, my Mom and siblings are throwing me an early baby shower and since they are sending out their invites soon, we were asked to get started on our registry.

I chose the giant conglomerate Babies 'R Us since we had such a debacle with Target during our wedding and there are so many locations, so it won't be hard for people to find.

John and I popped in the other night armed with the Baby Bargains book my cousin had gotten us, which outlines some of the best deals and buys for all this stuff, and John downloaded Consumer Reports onto his I-phone. Two hours into it, we had only selected twenty items but luckily it was all the big stuff so we were pretty proud of ourselves. There were definitely plenty of moments of pure confusion with all the options for car seats and strollers and bouncy things, etc. and we were also in total shock over how expensive everything is. Woah baby!

I'll be wandering back in a couple of weeks to wrap stuff up once we have our mid-July ultrasound and I can pick out more 'fun' things for the room. I think I'll gain a bit of a boost once I get another look at our future child.
