Our visit to Arizona was so fun and enjoyable that I really didn't want to come home. We had a great time with my family as usual and I even got to squeeze in some quality time with my dear friend Vanessa, who on a whim was in town for her sister's newest baby arrival. Everything worked out perfectly. I got to do two things I love while there, relax and eat.
We scoped out some new restaurants for us like Joe's Farm Grill in Gilbert, which I'd highly recommend...
And, I had a wonderful baby shower at the El Charro Lodge in Paradise Valley. My mom, brother Matt and sister Amy did such a nice job putting it together and just like my bridal shower in AZ a few years back, it was intimate which made it all that more special to me. I was truly touched by all the thoughtful and generous gifts for our baby girl.
Every time we are in AZ, John and I can see ourselves calling it our home. Not that we aren't happy here in PA, but we get a different sense of life there. A little more laid back I guess. It always gives us something to think about. And, oddly enough, for the first time while we were there, I could feel my baby moving...a lot. It was really neat and took me by surprise the first time. Maybe she was trying to tell me something...
