Local Treasure

My Aunt Sharon was in town from Arizona over the weekend for her high school reunion and she drove up to see John, Mom and I yesterday for her last day. It also happened to be her birthday, so we wanted to take her to do something fun. She is a big fan and collector of the Byer's Choice Caroler dolls and collectibles that just so happen to be manufactured a few miles from us in Chalfont, PA. My Mom and I thought it was the perfect opportunity to take her there.
The museum and store offers every single imaginable figure you could ever want to collect on site in their beautiful holiday displays and it was actually neat to walk around and see everything set up for Christmas. Not to mention the fact that you can go directly to an observation deck and watch the local artists at each station crafting and hand painting the dolls. I couldn't imagine all the meticulous details that these folks put into each and every one, day after day, and that we could actually view them at work. Plus it's all free to the public.
Aunt Sharon was on cloud nine and it felt good to make her day with something special in our own backyard.
